5 places to learn coding for kids in Malaysia

Coding should be taught to everyone. Do you agree or not?

Of course not everyone is suited for coding, but contrary to playing a piano, coding is still relatively unknown in Malaysia, where most parents still encourage their kids to enrol in piano lessons. 

Would that, nonetheless, prevent someone from gaining knowledge? Where can a person learn to program in Malaysia? You have young kids, is there a place that teaches coding to kids and teens?

So, we hear you! Here are five coding classes to help you learn more about programming.

  1. Telebort

Telebort is situated at Georgetown, Penang. They are one of the best coding classes in Penang. They teach a range of coding concept and language, from the fundamental of coding to Artificial Intelligence. Since they are situated in Penang, the fees is quite affordable. They also running a hybrid learning model, so everyone around the world can join their class without hesitation. Students and parents also will have access to Telebort dashboard where they can monitor their achievement and also can grade their instructor as well.

  1. KidoCode

KidoCode is situated in Mont Kiara. They focus mostly on STEM fields, entrepreneurship, digital art, and software engineering. Kids can anticipate studying the fundamentals of electronics, robotics, and developing websites and mobile applications, for example. Their programmes are adaptable, and parents can even get involved in their children's education to promote community-based learning. Kids can access KidoCode's online portal from home to continue practising the lessons they have learnt in class.

Khan Academic offers an open source learning platform that have videos and exercises so that users can learn at their own pace. Even though they are not from Malaysia, but Malaysian can access to their library! They provide instruction for students of all skill levels in a variety of subjects, such as history, economics, and computer science. They are also providing parents and teachers with resources to aid in coaching their children in accordance with their needs in each topic.

  1. Code Juniors

At Code Juniors, you may create, play, and learn. They are located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. The youngsters may anticipate that when they attend their rewarding yet entertaining classes. Consider their Little Juniors Coding Workshops. Kids between the ages of 5-8 can use the ScratchJr. programming language to explore interactive stories and games. Additionally, Blocky, STEM, and Coding Fun-Damentals are available to help students develop a computational thinking attitude. Coding Fun-Damentals focuses on the fundamentals of computer programming.

  1. Algorithmics

Over 400 schools operated by Algorithmics can be found in 40 different nations, and one of them is located in Kota Damansara's Sunway Giza Mall. Under the direction of the qualified teachers at Algorithmics, children may expect to study things like logical thinking and problem-solving techniques. There are many courses available here, including ones for children as young as 6-7 years old. This 45-minute programme, dubbed as The Coding Knight, gives the students an opportunity to comprehend the essential concepts of algorithms and coding.
