What You'll Build

Dive into an exciting underwater world where sea creatures come to life! In this project, you'll create your very own animated ocean adventure with swimming fish, dancing dolphins, and maybe even a friendly octopus or two. Your underwater friends will talk to each other, perform cool moves, and take the audience on an amazing journey beneath the waves! 🌊🐠

Let's Build Your Underwater World!

Step One: Set the Scene 🌊

1. Start by choosing your underwater backgrounds - you need at least 2 backgrounds

   • Try a coral reef for one scene
   • Maybe a deep ocean or sunken ship for another!

2. Think about your story:

   • Where does it start?
   • What happens in the middle?
   • How will it end?

💡 Stuck? Look in the Scratch backdrop library for "underwater" - there are lots of cool options!

Step 2: Add Your Sea Creatures 🐟

1. Add at least 2 sprites to be your underwater characters
2. Choose from:
   • Fish, sharks, or whales
   • Octopuses or jellyfish
   • Divers or mermaids
   • Submarines or treasure chests

Pro tip: Name your sprites something fun like "Bubbles the Fish" or "Captain Coral"!

Step 3: Bring the Ocean to Life with Sound 🎵

1. Add a background sound that plays throughout your adventure
2. Look for:
   • Ocean wave sounds
   • Underwater bubbling effects
   • Peaceful ocean music

Step 4: Animate Your Characters 🎭

1. Use these special blocks to make your sprites move and dance:
