😎🧑 Our students Sam Yeoh (17 years old) and Max Yeoh (13 years old) participated in the #mydigitalmaker Teen Tech Prize 2020 and won the 𝑴𝒚𝑻𝑻𝑷 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑰𝒅𝒆𝒂 𝑾𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓. 🥳 They won the award with an amazing idea to digitize the canteen ordering systems in schools to overcome the challenges faced during the pandemic. 💡 Apart from that, they also believe that their project will be able to make the school canteen ordering system more efficient post-pandemic. 🤩 💻🙌 MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) is a well-organized company in partnership with the Ministry of Education which launched #mydigitalmaker movement for teens and youth. 🤝🦾 The #mydigitalmaker Teen Tech Prize aims to encourage the youth to come out with ideas to solve community & national issues. 💓🥰 We are so excited and happy for both of them to receive this recognition and award at such a young age. 👧 Meet -- Emma Goh Wan Ling, a 10-year-old student in Program B: Mobile Apps Development. Emma is a firm believer that coding makes life more interesting and happy. 👸 Emma is one of the top students in her class Sun, 10AM courage. She always goes the extra mile and puts in the extra effort to enhance her project! Her instructors are stunned by her creativity and her amazing add-ons. 🤩 👀 She first learned about coding during the Telebort Live Stream Watch Party - CodeBytes in December 2020 . Since then, she joined us in our Weekly Core Program. Code will indeed be the only language that can communicate with the world. The early training of coding kids is a self-redemption that humans have to launch against AI. Jing Cong is very proactive in learning and he will always challenge himself and push himself to strive for better results. 🙌 He is also very helpful as he constantly lends a hand to his classmates who need guidance. 👩‍🏫 In Class Activity: Pronounce-It-Right Teacher Mai designed this activity for her students to try out the Pronunciation Guide App that they’ve created in the previous lesson. She challenged the students with a number of words from really simple ones to really high level ones. 🤓 The students will try to pronounce the words before checking their pronunciation with the mobile app. This is a great example on how apps created by the students can be used in real life. 🥳 The students showed enthusiasm and they really enjoyed the activity.

Last Sunday we had the Final Project Presentation by our students from Program E: Advanced Web Development from 2 different Sunday classes. 👩🏻‍💻👨🏻‍💻 They have been using their own creativity and coding knowledge that they learnt with us to solve the real world problem especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. 🦠😷 . Parents also joined our class together to watch for students’ presentations and motivate their child(ren) at the same time. Glad to see all the students have grown up, they are so brave and creative for their presentation. 💬🎤 . The class ended with graduation, which was a memorable and cherish moment.
